Seed to Success: How CHPHE Funding Launched an NIH Grant
What started as an internal seed grant from the Center for Health Promotion and Health Equity (CHPHE) in 2024 has grown into a major NIH-funded research project. Researchers Alison Tovar and Lauren Bohlen are evaluating Rhode Island's Community Intermediary Organization model across 14 local communities to establish data-driven solutions for community-based chronic disease prevention.
